William Fichtner Is Shredder In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reboot
It's become known that the role William Fichtner is playing in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot is the film's villain, Shredder, as the actor let the news be known in a recent interview.
Talking with the Hufftington Post, William Fichtner was asked what he is doing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with the actor responding as follows.
I play Shredder. It is cool. It's one of those things that came along where I thought, "Really? Let me think about this for a minute." [Laughs] Then I was like, "Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey." I'm very glad that it worked out, I'm really glad that I'm doing it.
This is the first role in the Michael Bay-produced TMNT reboot that is a different take than the original version, as Shredder was the Japanese man, Oroku Saki.
Megan Fox is playing April O'Neil, with set photos revealing a close resemblance to the known reporter from the comics and animated shows.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a June 6, 2014 directed by Jonathan Liebesman and also starring Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, and Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, and Pete Ploszekas the Turtles.
William Fichtner can also be seen in the upcoming The Lone Ranger movie and Elysium.
