Which Superhero Should Josh Harnett Play? Was Up For Batman, Superman & Spider-Man

In a new interview with Josh Harnett, the actor says he would now be up for taking a superhero role after turning down Batman, Superman (in Superman Returns) and Spider-Man in his 20s.

He tells Details that when he was younger, he didn't want those roles to define him.

Spider-Man was something we talked about. Batman was another one. But I somehow knew those roles had potential to define me, and I didn't want that. I didn't want to be labeled as Superman for the rest of my career. I was maybe 22, but I saw the danger.

However, now Harnett says if the offer came, he wouldn't turn it down.

I'd say, "Let's talk about how it would be done, see if we can get on the same page." Compromise doesn't scare me anymore.

Any ideas what superhero role (or villain) would suit Harnett?

Josh Harnett stars in the Showtime series Penny Dreadful which premiers May 11th.
