Whedon Says Cobie Smulders Involvement In S.H.I.E.L.D. Will Be Little

We get an update from Joss Whedon on the new ABC S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series about Cobie Smulders' involvement.

Whedon offers that what we will see of Maria Hill won't be that much because of Smulders' schedule, but seems to offer hope we'll see more from her.

He tells TVLine that Smulders’ schedule “will permit very little” involvement, “but if we can get a hold of her anytime, we will.”

Regarding any new information surrounding the plot or storyline in regards to S.H.I.E.L.D., Joss Whedon doesn't offer much, but does say it will be a Marvel show and one focused on the new characters they are presenting. Whedon also said that there is some talk about including familiar Marvel faces sometime down the line.

"We’re trying very hard to be true to [Marvel's] ethos and also to the structure of their universe. So it is definitely a Marvel show." Whedon said. "Right now, I want to involve people in the characters that we’ve created for the show and then we’ll worry about [the other stuff]."

Regarding the Marvel ethos, we put together five reasons that the new S.H.I.E.L.D. series just might actually be the Hulk TV show.

S.H.I.E.L.D. just wrapped their pilot and looks to debut in the Fall with Clark Gregg starring as Agent Phil Coulson.
