Body

Last night AMC aired the mid-season 5 finale of The Walking Dead, which featured a major character's death.

The Walking Dead Facebook page managed to spoil the episode for not only those on the West Coast that hadn't seen it, but also for those East Coasters whom may have DVR'd it.

The Walking Dead Facebook page posted the Daryl and Beth spoiler image at 9:59pm according to the post's timestamp.

Now the page has offered the following apology for their actions:

We heard your feedback to last night’s post, and we’re sorry. With zero negative intent, we jumped the gun and put up a spoiler. Please know we’re going to work to ensure that, in the future, possible spoilers by official AMC social feeds are killed before they can infect, certainly before the West Coast (U.S.) broadcast of The Walking Dead. As always, thank you for watching, and keep the comments coming. We appreciate all of your support.#RIPSpoiler

Note: The post is still up and was never deleted.

Here are some of the reactions:

Best Spoiler Ever  didnt watch yet.

Nooooo I didn't watch it yet

Holy spoilers batman

Wow of behalf of the 90 million people who haven't see it yet thanks for your mindful consideration. Fire your social media guy that's pathetic.

I am unfollowing you guys because of this

Um wow. West Coast hasn't watched yet. Ya could've waited

Seriously crying right now.
