Body

6121 The next franchise from Warner Bros. and The Wachowski's with Jupiter Ascending has been given a July 25, 2014 release date.

Not much is known about the plot, but Jupiter Ascending is said to be set in another universe where humans are near the bottom of the evolutionary ladder with the "Queen of the Universe" targeting a human woman who threatens her reign and very existence.

Jupiter Ascending is set to star Mila Kunis, Chatum Tanning, Eddie Redmayne (previously up for the Star-Lord role in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy), and Sean Bean. Natalie Portman was also said to be in contention at one time.

The July 25th release date comes one week following the debut of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, and will go head-to-head against Dwayne Johnson and Hercules.

The Wachowski's most recent movie, Cloud Atlas, debut lasted year and raked in just over $120 million with a budget of around $100 million.
