Earlier we learned that Disney is acquiring Lucasfilm from George Lucas for $4.05 billion.

In addition to the earlier video featuring Lucas, we now have a video with Disney CEO Bob Iger as he makes the announcement.

Iger announces Star Wars episode 7 for 2015 as well as says there will more feature films, consumer products, television projects, games, and theme park attractions.

"We're thrilled that George has entrusted the future of his extraordinary legacy to the Walt Disney company and recognize what an honor it is," Iger stated. "We truly understand the responsibly that comes with being the caretakers of such iconic characters that are beloved by hundreds of millions all over the world."

George Lucas then goes on to state his reasons for the acquisition as well as mentioning plans for the end of the trilogy with 7,8 and 9, and more to come.

"It was the perfect match of two companies that are constructed similarly," Lucas said while saying that his company was a "mini Disney."
