Unlock Avengers Movie and John Carter Bonus Content During Superbowl With Shazam App

As you watch the Superbowl this Sunday, you can unlock exclusive bonus content through the Shazam For TV App.

Shazam announced that throughout the entire Superbowl, users can "receive valuable discount offers, free downloads, enter sweepstakes, vote on their favorite ads, participate in game polls, buy music, share their experiences on Facebook and Twitter, and support leading charities."

Both the upcoming Disney movies, The Avengers and John Carter TV Spots, will support the Shazam App; however, just what content will be unlocked is unknown.

According to the Disney fan news site,, next year's Superbowl tickets might be up for grabs during the John Carter spot. And Disney has confirmed to them The Avengers Shazam involvement, but Disney will say no more.

I just installed the Shazam iPhone App, and if my understanding is correct, the App "listens in" using the device microphone. When it recognizes a song, or I suppose in this case a commercial, the user will get the bonus footage. From there, users can "tag" the music and share with their friends on various social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Sounds pretty cool. Wonder what The Avengers movie will feature?

Shazam is available on all the major platforms.
