TV Review: Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. -- "A Thing About Machines"

Body

13389

The notorious big-headed Leader leads (of course) the S.M.A.S.H. team on a wild adventure when their Jump Jet becomes mad at them for making fun of the many times it is been demolished.

It's a delightful romp through man versus machine with a Twilight Zone plot and some great in-humor for those who have followed the careers of Hulk and Leader over the years.

Of course the filming/Rick Jones TV host presentation is one of my favorite things in toons today. It offers Rick chances to do some stuff that the old Rick Jones did during the comics, but also comments on the things that are going on as the toon progresses.

We even get to that once-secret, now very popular place called the Blue Area of the Moon, created by the Kree and the home of the Watcher. The Watcher, of course, cannot interfere in anything that the S.M.A.S.H. team does, and that gets Big Red riled up.

My least favorite moment is when Red decks the Watcher with one below. Come on! He's the Watcher!!

A great tune, a great pace, very well written. This S.M.A.S.H. team could be a wonderful comic book itself.
