TV Review: Green Lantern: The Animated Series -- "Scarred"

Body

5944

A map in an ancient language under the quarters of a dead Oan science director leads Hal, Kilowog and Razer on a galactic mission to help-- or slay-- their former crewmate, Aya.

Again, the long-brewing subplot of Red Lantern Razer's love for Aya takes center stage here, even as he himself helps the Green Lanterns gather the rare element Orrum in order to weaken the former A.I., who now possesses the might of the Anti-Monitor.

As usual, it is a well-meaning Guardian-- the aforementioned deceased science director-- who returns, only to betray our trio in an attempt to kill Aya.

And as usual, it is Hal Jordan who comes up with an alternative to buy them some time.

This episode, "Scarred," is a great example of how sophisticated this production has been and it will certainly be missed.

But for right now, Saturday mornings are still fun!
