TV Review: Avengers Assemble -- "One Little Thing"

Body

14944

It was a different kind of Ant Man story.

Sunday's Avengers Assemble featured a lot of comedic material and a serious look at what unstable Pym particles can do to the world.

And while a giant Hulk, a mini-Iron Man and a Microverse-lost Ant Man were good and the drama entertaining, the key to the success of this episode was the arrival to Avengers Tower of ...  the Falcon's mom!

Almost every mom joke in history surfaced, including her making an extra batch of cookies for her "favorite Avenger," the Hulk, and Thor, of all people, practicing a stand-up comedy routine. Goldilocks was hysterical!

Apparently today's Falcon is a youth, his mom in this episode saying Sam is 17. I have gotten a little bit of that from Mighty Avengers as well, although it has been subtle.

Sam's mom was a very good character, very likeable and with a little bit of grit and guts. It was funny to see Thor side with some of Sam's mom maneuverings, he himself saying he had similar issues with All-Father Odin.

Avengers Assemble keeps on staying as excellent as any
comic book now carrying the franchise name. A little different, but with great characters that are familiar. Fun toon.
