TV Review: Avengers Assemble -- "Crime and Circuses"

Clint Barton's criminal past rears its ugly head in this superb episode of Avengers Assemble.

The only thing missing is the original Swordsman as the Ringmaster and his Circus of Crime appear, taking as new members the mind-controlled Avengers themselves.

Only Hawkeye and a very curious young Falcon are left to both thwart the plans of the Ringmaster, who has boosted the original Circus members' powers with Stark Tech, and free the rest of the Avengers.

As in last episode, it is really the Falcon who shines is this episode, although it is certainly Hawkeye's story and from his point of view that most things unfold.

An old ally, Princess Python, brings her huge snake into the act on behalf of Sam and Clint, and helps free the Avengers.

During this episode, Hawkeye's extraordinary talents for marksmanship (even without arrows) are certainly highlighted.

Another great toon from the House of Ideas.
