Thundercats recently returned to Cartoon Network at an all new time and day, Saturdays at 9:30 am, moved from its Friday 8:30pm time slot.

We recently posted a press release which announced Cartoon Network's new and returning shows — with no sign of Thundercats on the list!

While the announcement does read "several new and returning series to its programming line-up," it does seem odd that Thundercats didn't get a mention.

From previous reports we know that producer Michael Jelenic said that it would take 52 episodes of Thundercats to tell the story.

Currently, we are on the second season, which will mark the half way point with 26 episodes.

It's pure speculation as of right now regarding the cancelation of the new Thundercats, and we will wait have to wait until we hear something more official from Warner Bros. or Cartoon Network, but I do hope it sticks around.

Hopefully Mumm-Ra doesn't stand triumphant!
