Thor 2's Zachary Levi Up For Star-Lord In Guardians of the Galaxy Movie; Jim Sturgess In Contention
Marvel Studios has apparently narrowed its shortlist to play Star-Lord with Thor 2's Zachary Levi (right) as well as the previously mentioned Jim Sturgess.
Levi seems like an odd choice as he is currently playing Fandral in Thor 2, but according to Variety, Marvel Studios is happy with the actor and has had their eye on him for a while.
The previous list of eight names associated with Star-Lord is said to be all down to only one name, that being Jim Sturgess.
Sturgess (left) was recently featured in Cloud Atlas as well as voiced a character in the 2010 Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.
Perhaps Levi could work if he has a small role in Thor 2, as this wouldn't be the first time an actor has played two Marvel superhero roles, with Chris Evans playing Johnny Storm and Captain America; however, that was a few years a apart and totally separate movie universes.
The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release date and is directed by James Gunn.
