Thor (2011) Tops Box Office For Second Week In A Row

Body

picThor topped the box office again with $34.5 million in it's second week debut bringing the total, in the U.S., to $119.3 million.

Glad to say I was part of that!

The movie was awesome!

Overseas, Thor hammered out an additional $27.5 million which brings the international total to $225 million.

Comparing to last year's Iron Man 2 ($211.2 million by week #2), Thor may not have made near as much, but the drop off was less - 48% for Thor compared to 59% for IM2. And that's because IM2 sucked -- and Thor rocked!

Anyway, this is good news and I hope a "Thor 2" gets green lit soon!

Thor hammers into theaters May 6th 2011, directed by Kenneth Branagh starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.

If you can't wait for the movie, script spoilers have been leaked!
