Some news on the Thor sequel has begun to come out as of late.

First we heard that filming will begin this Summer, then we heard about the new script, and now Jaime Alexander informs us that her character, Sif, will be in Thor 2.

While promoting her new movie, Loosies, Alexander spoke with MTV.

"I've had a few discussions about Thor 2. I'm definitely going to be a part of it, that will be fun. And we just got Alan Taylor from Game Of Thrones to direct so we are really excited. I'm excited to see what he brings," she said.

What about an appearance in The Avengers movie? Don't rule Sif out just yet.

"I can't tell you," she teased. "Sometimes you never know. It'll be funny—they'll call you and they'll do a post-credits scene and you go, 'Oh, so everything I said in interviews is completely wrong.' So you never know!"

Thor 2 hammers into theaters November 15th, 2011.

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
