Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) Character Descriptions From Action Figure Line
We get some character details from the upcoming Jonathan Liebesman-directed and Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
For the most part, fans can take a chill pill as the TMNT character descriptions just about match the Turtles they have come to know and love.
Idle Hands got their hands on the descriptions, and aside from Shredder, they all seem to be similar to the popular 90s cartoon.
And they are not described as aliens and do use their classic weapons.
There are some notable differences with possibly the Turtles' size in relation to each other as well as their costumes. Of course, it could very well be this is just for the action figure line and not a part of the movie.
The descriptions also offered the following plot synopsis:
New York City. Crime rates are on the rise and innocent civilians tremble in fear. But there's a force fighting back, vigilantes among us ready to protect the city. Are they the heroes we expect them to be? And are they powerful enough to take down the masked warrior everyone fears...the Shredder?
Shredder is said to have knives everywhere except having bare arms:
...he's covered head to toe in metal armor or blades, his arms are still mostly bare...shoulder pieces with the blades coming off them, the shin armor with the blades coming off them, black armor areas to offset the steel parts and a cape that looks metal with blades coming down the side.
Leonardo in a sort of pseudo samurai gear
Donatello's gear is a mix of techy, modern and a dash of samurai with more normal footwear
Raphael has adopted an urban warrior look with white, bandage-like wrappings on his feet, right leg, and right arm.
Michelangelo's outfit seems the simplest with a hoodie wrapped around his waist,
each character appeared to have a different physique
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has an August 8, 2014 release starring Megan Fox as April O'Neil, William Fichtner as Shredder, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Will Arnett as Venon Fenwick, and Whoopi Goldberg as Bernadette Thompson.
