Body

The phenomenon that is Sharknado just won't stop as not only has SyFy ordered a sequel to the shark-infested tornado movie, but the film will be shown in Regal Theaters on the silver screen.

Regal Theaters has announced Sharknado will debut for one night only on Friday, August 2nd at midnight, with more information forthcoming.

Sharknado recently debuted on SyFy and took various social media sites by storm. The movie topped Twitter's trending list moments after its 9pm debut on July 11th.

July 27th on SyFY will also see the "Shark-a-thon," where 18 hours of straight shark-inspired movies will play including Sharknado at 9pm ET.

In Sharknado, regulars of a beachside bar including owner Fin (Ian Ziering/Beverly Hills 90210), bartender Nova (Cassie Scerbo/Make It Or Break It) and local drunk George (John Heard/Home Alone) team up with Fin’s ex-wife April (Tara Reid/Scrubs) to investigate the ecological nightmare that has sharks swimming through the streets of Los Angeles and falling from the skies.

Sharknado 2 has been announced to be taking place in NYC scheduled to premiere on SyFy in 2014.
