Superman: Man Of Steel (2013): Sequel Looks Like A Go

picJust a few days ago Cosmic Book News received some purportedly inside info about a sequel for the new Superman reboot, the Man of Steel.

While we were told that "Superman 2" would be a stand alone movie set before WB launches a shared universe Justice League movie, some news hit earlier today that WB is, indeed, giving the sequel the green light.

Apparently, WB likes what they see with the Man of Steel and is putting together a list of writers to pen the sequel including Steve Kloves (Harry Potter, Amazing Spider-Man), Travis Beacham (Clash of the Titans, Pacific Rim), and Lawrence Kasdan.

The new Superman stars Henry Cavill, who just topped this past weekend's box office with Immortals to the tune of $32.2 million, and all the footage I have seen to come out of the Illinois and Vancouver set suggests we are in store for one heck of a movie! In addition, the recent interviews with Michael Shannon, playing Zod, makes it seem likely that he will be a more than formidale super foe!

Info via The Collider.

Stay tuned to Cosmic Book News as more on the Man Of Steel develops.

Man Of Steel flies into theaters June 14th, 2013 directed by Zack Snyder starring, Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel, Diane Lane as Martha "Ma" Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan "Pa" Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as Zod, and Russel Crowe as Jor-El.
