Supergirl TV Series Will Be From Arrow & The Flash's Greg Berlanti

Yesterday saw it stated that a Supergirl TV series was being pitched around from the producer of Gotham and writer of the Green Lantern movie, Michael Green.

It turns out that is only half true.

The good part is that there is a Supergirl TV series being shopped around, but by The Flash and Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler.

The update comes from Deadline who states the Supergirl TV series will be a new interpretation of the character and story.

It's stated Adler is to write Supergirl, and that DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is expected to be involved in some capacity as well.

According to the report, the series is unnamed as of yet and the producers are looking for the words "super" and "girl" to be cleared by Warner Bros. for use.

It's also said the Supergirl project has been in the works for some time and in a few weeks will be shopped around to all the networks.
