Still Sounds Like No Marvel TV For Avengers: Infinity War

Though Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently seemed to be teasing the possibility of the Marvel TV characters in the MCU, in his latest interview, now it doesn't seem as if Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Punisher etc. will be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War or any other Marvel movie, as Feige tells Collider:

“It all depends on timing. It all depends on how to do it because I don’t think what anybody wants to do is have such important characters show up for one second. Black Panther and Spider-Man to me are the high bar in ‘Civil War’ of how you can bring in new characters into something. Vision and Ultron, Wanda and Pietro in ‘Ultron.’ And it takes a lot of screentime, and it takes a lot of work. ‘Infinity War’ has a lot of people in it already. So it just depends on how we could figure it out.”

Once again Feige has stated the reason being for not using Marvel TV characters is timing, and it's something that the Russo brothers have also claimed, but the real reason may actually be something else entirely, and something that I only seem to be reporting on while other sites continue the "spin."

Kevin Feige booted eccentric billionaire Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter from having any involvement in the Marvel movies, and at the same time booted Perlmutter's Marvel Comics Creative Committee, which includes Joe Quesada, Alan Fine, Brian Bendis and Dan Buckley, all of whom are involved with Marvel TV and head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb, as well as Marvel Comics.

Even Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has said Marvel Studios (movies) and Marvel TV are completely separate. Likewise, Charlie Cox, the Netflix Daredevil, said more of the same by stating the Marvel movies could use a completely different actor for the role of Daredevil in the films.

Fans shouldn't blame blaming Kevin Feige for the disconnect as evidently Perlmutter and the Marvel Comics Creative Committee caused all sorts of problems with the movies previous to the release of Doctor Strange. Perlmutter and the MCC are also responsible for the drastic change in Marvel Comics the last few years which has seen sales decline with replacements of fan-favorite characters.

As they saying goes "A house divided..." -- hopefully Disney will realize the separation is harming the Marvel brand and Kevin Feige gets control of all of Marvel. Honestly, I think that's our best hope for a shared Marvel movie and TV universe, because as it stands, it doesn't seems as if the Marvel TV characters (including Agents of SHIELD) are in the MCU, but actually are a part of their own seperate universe (for comic fans, aka the multiverse).
