As we get closer to Comic-Con the anticipation keeps building in regards to what announcements Warner Bros. will be making about the future of their DC movie universe.

It's currently thought that at least a Man of Steel sequel or perhaps the Justice League movie will be announced.

While we wait to see what is coming, one actor who plays a DC comic book character on TV says he wants in on Justice League.

Stephen Amell is star of the hit show, Arrow, and tells SciFi Now that his character is comparable to Iron Man and The Avengers.

"I think that Green Arrow has an opportunity to mature in much the same way Iron Man did in the Marvel universe," Amell said. "He wasn’t necessarily a top level character, but because they made an Iron Man movie and it was successful, it vaulted him up and now he anchors the Avengers."

Amell continues with mention that he hopes Green Arrow can be a member of the League.

“It’s always up to what’s popular at the moment. Right now archery seems to be having a mini renaissance, so hopefully he can settle into a firm rotating member of the DC Justice League of America," he said.

Arrow airs Wednesdays on CBS.
