Star Wars Episode VII Will Be Scored By John Williams (Video)



In addition to the Star Wars Rebels logo, art, and info coming out of the Star Wars Celebration taking place in Germany, it is confirmed that John Williams will score Episode VII.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced the news of the legendary composer scoring the soundtrack for J.J. Abrams and Star Wars: Episode VII.

Williams has won 5 Academy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, 7 British Academy Film Awards and 21 Grammy Awards, with a total of 48 Academy Award nominations placing him second to only Walt Disney.

In addition to the Star Wars theme, Williams is known for scoring the music behind Superman, Jaws, Gilligan's Island, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Saving Private Ryan, Lincoln and loads more.

Star Wars Episode VII is due to go into production next year for a 2015 release.
