Body

picJoe Hill, son of Stephen King, pens a popular comic book series for IDW Publishing called Locke & Key.

The comic was previously going to be picked up as a television series, with Fox, SyFy and MTV all said to be interested.

A pilot was even shot, with writers Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman on as producers, the two of course known for writing Transformers and the two recent Star Trek films as well as the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man sequel.

However, the TV series was passed on, and now news comes that there is still hope for Locke & Key as Bob Orci confirms on his Twitter account that plans for a trilogy are in the making.

Regarding whether or not any of the original cast from the television pilot, which was previously aired back at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, will be back is unknown, as Mirando Otto, Nick Stahl and Jesse McCartney were all a part of.
