Comic-Con saw Bryan Fuller reveal the title and a teaser for the new Star Trek: Discovery CBS digital TV series.

Not much info was given, but the series is set in continuity with the original Star Trek TV series and thought to precede Star Trek: The Next Generation at some point (possibly around Search for Spock).

Bryan Fuller did reveal they aren't going the episodic route with Star Trek: Discovery (which saw William Shatner question), and that they are telling stories like a novel, with each season a chapter. Basically what that means is you need to watch all the episodes to get the entire story, which Shatner pointed out; however, Fuller countered by stating all the episodes will be right at your fingertips on digital.

Star Trek: Discovery will debut on CBS in January 2017 prior to airing on CBS All Access.
