Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Reactions: Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, J.J. Abrams

Body

4534 Yesterday saw the debut of the first Star Trek Into Darkness footage in the form of a 1-minute trailer (actually two trailers).

The trailer featured massive devastation and numerous explosions -- as well as Klingons!

Benedict Cumberbatch is the film's villain - with his identity anybody's guess - and he recently commented on the trailer with EOnline.

"My [talent] agency was just wetting themselves. They were ringing me up and sending me emails. It's really exciting. I, like everyone else, feel teased. I can't wait to see the whole film now. We're only at the beginnings of it," he said.

Cumberbatch's co-star in the movie, Zoe Saldana, Uhura, also was excited by the new trailer release.

"I emailed the whole gang," she told EOnline. "I was like, ‘Benedict, your voice sounds better than [late R&B singer] Barry White's. I'm sure I made him blush."

Director J.J. Abrams, who included more than a few Easter Eggs in the trailer for Star Trek 2, was happy to finally release the footage as well.

"It's a very surreal thing to be sharing it with people finally," he said.

Head on over here to watch the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer as well as view a bunch of screen shots.
