Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Reactions: Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, J.J. Abrams
Yesterday saw the debut of the first Star Trek Into Darkness footage in the form of a 1-minute trailer (actually two trailers).
The trailer featured massive devastation and numerous explosions -- as well as Klingons!
"My [talent] agency was just wetting themselves. They were ringing me up and sending me emails. It's really exciting. I, like everyone else, feel teased. I can't wait to see the whole film now. We're only at the beginnings of it," he said.
Cumberbatch's co-star in the movie, Zoe Saldana, Uhura, also was excited by the new trailer release.
"I emailed the whole gang," she told EOnline. "I was like, ‘Benedict, your voice sounds better than [late R&B singer] Barry White's. I'm sure I made him blush."
Director J.J. Abrams, who included more than a few Easter Eggs in the trailer for Star Trek 2, was happy to finally release the footage as well.
"It's a very surreal thing to be sharing it with people finally," he said.
Star Trek Into Darkness has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T.
