It was previously rumored that the first trailer would be attached to the December 14th premiere of The Hobbit in non-IMAX showings, as nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness footage will be made available with The Hobbit in IMAX.
According to Trek Movie, the Thursday footage will be only about a minute long, with the full trailer running with the non-IMAX showings of The Hobbit.
Regardless what is exactly what, we are getting our first Star Trek Into Darkness footage Thursday.
Star Trek Into Darkness has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.
