So Batman vs. Superman Does Begin Production In October: For A Football Game?

A previous casting call surfaced for extras in LA in October for Batman Vs. Superman only to be taken down from the website with it said it wasn't happening. Well, guess again.

A post at the East Los Angeles College Weingart Stadium has it that Zack Snyder is filming a scene October 19th during the halftime of the Husky football game.

Taking a page out of Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, apparently the stadium will get transformed to the Gotham City University home stadium where they are to take on Metropolis State University.

It's said Warner Bros. is looking for extras to fill the seats, particularly ELAC students (perhaps why the initial casting call was yanked).

According to the report, the first 2000 people who attend will get special T-Shirts designed by Zack Snyder as well as prizes raffled throughout the event.

As it's a Gotham home game, the crowd will sport black and gold colors.

It's said three takes will be shot with the crew filming the crowd's reactions to three plays.

Christopher Nolan transformed Heinz Field in Pittsburgh to the football stadium for the Gotham City Rogues which featured Tom Hardy as Bane and Hines Ward as a player for The Dark Knight Rises.

Here is the location of the stadium:

Los Angeles, California 91754

The sequel to "Man of Steel" goes into production next year for a July 17, 2015 release also starring Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
