Simon Kinberg Says X-Men: Days Of Future Past Rebooted The X-Movie Universe

With X-Men: Apocalypse on the cards, a question is brought up to writer/producer Simon Kinberg regarding using Angel as a Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and how it would all fit in.

Kinberg says that while they haven't announced just who the four Horsemen are - there are many different characters that make up the team in the comic books - he says that X-Men: Days Of Future Past essentially rebooted the X-Men movie universe.

Kinberg told MTV the following:

The other thing I would say in terms of making any character decisions on Apocalypse is you know we sort of reset the clock on Days Of Future Past. And so a lot could have changed from that point in 1973 forward meaning people could have been born earlier. The whole sort of world changed after those events. Things that were represented in even X1, 2 and 3 wouldn't have happened in quite the same way.

X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release.
