Simon Kinberg has signed with Fox Studios to develop "Marvel-style" universes for both the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

Kinberg is currently writing the Fantastic Four movie for Fox and Josh Trank as well as producing X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

The news comes on top of Bryan Singer announcing X-Men: Apocalypse for a May 26, 2016 release.

"I have a lot of ideas on how to built those brands and do what everybody is thinking of these days: Be like Marvel," Kinberg told The Hollywood Reporter. "I want to be able to build stories over multiple movies."

Simon Kinberg is also developing a Star Wars spinoff movie for Disney.

It remains to be seen whether or not Fox will connect their X-Men universe with the Fantastic Four universe.
