Rockne S. O'Bannon To Write DC Vertigo TV Series "Global Frequency"
It's learned that Rockne S. O'Bannon, known for Farscape and Defiance, will be writing the TV adaptation of the Warren Ellis DC Comics Wildstorm/Vertigo comic book, Global Frequency.
The series is being developed by Jerry Bruckheimer, on board as producer and executive producer, for FOX TV.
Per Deadline, Global Frequency is about a privately funded crime-fighting operation that uses worldwide crowd-sourcing to solve crimes the police cannot.
It's also stated Jonathan Littman, Warren Ellis and O’Bannon will executive produce, and Kristie Anne Reed will co-executive produce.
Rockne S. O'Bannon scripted the pilot episodes for Constantine and V, and also wrote episodes of Revolution.
Global Frequency saw 12 issues published from 2002-2004 by DC's Wilstorm line; subsequent trade paper back collected editions were then published under Vertigo.
