Comic book creator and executive producer of The Walking Dead briefly spoke with IGN on the just announced Telltale video game of the same name.

Kirkman informs us that the game will be based of the comic books - just as the novels are.

He also states this will be very "episodic" as most games that come out of Telltale are.

Kirkman goes on to give his opinion on selling digital comics - that he is all for it as he doesn't think it cuts into print sales and welcomes a new audience.

Regarding the AMC TV series, Kirkman tells us on any new characters appearing in Season 2, "Yes -- Michonne, Tyrese, Hershel... whether or not we'll get to all of them in [season 2]is up in the air. I'm looking forward to most every comic book character making it into the show, but I'm excited to see who we actually do get to."

When asked on the possibility for a video game based off his other hit comic from Image Comics, Invincible, Robert Kirkman had no comment.

A first image from The Walking Dead video game was released as well, which you can see at the right.
