Ra's al Ghul cast in The Dark Knight Rises
What's that, you might ask?
Seems Ra's al Ghul will have a part in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, but not by Liam Neeson.
Well, the "new" Ra's Al Ghul is going to be played by the much younger Josh Pence (The Social Network), according to the Hollywood Reporter.
This actually tells you a bit of where Nolan is taking this film, and also further solidifies what Gary Oldman meant by Nolan "bringing this one full circle."
HR states that Pence will be used in scenes that take place 30 years earlier.
Assuming Grant Morrison is not involved, this is most likely a flashback or a telling of history - perhaps by Talia al Ghul (daughter) rumored to be played by Marion Cottilard for some time now.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christan Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
