At a press junket for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Michael Fassbender stated that the sequel to Prometheus is happening.

Fassbender was asked by the Collider the status of Prometheus 2, with Fassbender confirming it is happening, but stating he doesn't know when filming will begin.

"For sure.  I love Ridley.  He’s a master filmmaker,” Fassbender replied, to which he was then asked by James McAvoy if he was doing the sequel.

“Yeah, but when I don’t know," Fassbender said.

Michael Fassbender played David the android in the first Prometheus.

Back in March, Fox Studios announced a March 4, 2016 release date for an untitled Ridley Scott movie, with it speculated to be for Prometheus 2.

It's been said the sequel will be more in line with the terrifying tone of past Alien films in addition to featuring multiple David androids.
