It's sad, but true as it's learned Peter David's All New X-Factor will be cancelled with issue #20.

Peter David reported the news on his blog stating the series was cancelled due to low sales.

"... it’s because not enough people are buying it. Which is exactly the reason they cancelled “Gambit” as well, so it’ll probably be a long time before he gets to star in another book," David posted.

David also seems to in part blame the "trade waiters" - people who don't buy the monthly comics, but do buy the trade paperbacks (which usually come at a discount).

"All I did was write a book that got tons of positive write-ups," David added. "Which I guess is enough to encourage people to buy it when it comes out in trades, oblivious to the fact that books get cancelled when you do that. Whatever."

According to estimates, All-New X Factor hovered around the 21,000 copies per month mark.
