Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars Spinoff Movie Rumored

Add another rumor to the growing list of rumors and speculation surrounding Disney's plans for new Star Wars movies.

The latest comes from Making Star Wars, which is stating an Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars movie is being planned.

It's said due to the popularity of the character, Disney may be going forth with an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, and it's stated concept art is now being worked on.

As of right now, Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) and Josh Trank (Chronicle, Fantastic Four) are directing the currently untitled Star Wars spin off movies.

If the rumor is true, it's possible Ewan McGregor could reprise the character. The actor did state he would be interested in coming back.

Another possibility would be using a new actor for a younger version of Obi-Wan in an origin-type story.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a December 18, 2015 release.
