Yesterday saw mention that Ridley Scott was going to produce a Halo movie.

The news came from a Twitter feed that previously released claims of filming dates for Fantastic Four, Terminator: Genesis and Jurassic World.

Regading Halo and Ridley Scott, this claim happens to be untrue.

The tweets mentioning Ridley Scott producing Halo have since been deleted, and Microsoft released an official statement stating no Halo movie is in the works.

"We plan to continue telling the Halo story through innovative channels, but there are no plans for a Halo motion picture at this time," a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.

While a Halo movie is not in development, a Halo TV series is with Steven Spielberg attached.
