Director Marc Webb lets in be known that three is enough.

Webb in an interview with the Daily Beast says that Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be his last time directing Spidey, and that he won't be directing Amazing Spider-Man 4.

I’d like to be involved as a consultant, and I’ve already talked to these guys about it, but in terms of directing it, that will close out my tenure. I’ve had so much fun doing it, but after the third movie, it’ll be the time to find something else.

Amazing Spider-Man 4 is due out May 4, 2018, and Sony has plans for a shared universe of their own as movies for Venom and the Sinister Six are currently in development as well.

Andrew Garfield also let it previously be known that he might not be returning for Amazing Spider-Man 4 as he said he is under contract for only one more movie following Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Amazing Spider-Man 3 is due out June 10, 2016.
