There's been a new Twilight Zone movie that has been attempting to get off the ground floor for some time.

The director of Cloverfield, Matt Reeves, was attached, but apparently has bailed for the Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

So while we wait to see if another director will come on board, a short plot description for the Twilight Zone movie has surfaced, and one that Hollywood seems to be making more of as of late -- or will be.

Vulture posted an article about the fact that time-travel movies are becoming all the rage with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis' Looper leading the pack.

A few other time-travel movies are in development, from a found-footage teen-type movie to another that is similar.

Variety's article reveals a bit about the Twilight Zone movie with mention that:

It follows a test pilot who winds up breaking the speed of light; when he puts down his craft, he discovers that he’s landed a bit late for supper — 96 years late.

This Twilight Zone movie happens to be housed under Leonardo DiCaprio's production company with the movie in development for some time, since 2007. It also appears that this new Twilight Zone movie will not feature episodes, like the previous, but feature one total story.
