New Star Wars: Episode VII Villain Rumors & Abu Dhabi Filming Update

Today's latest Star Wars: Episode VII news sees a new rumor regarding the villain of the film and an update on filming in the Abu Dhabi desert.

According to Jedi News, a source fills them in that Adam Driver will not be playing the villain of the film - at least directly. It's stated Adam Driver will play the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia who is tempted by the Dark Side. It's said the main plot of Star Wars: Episode VII then sees an attempt to rescue him.

Regarding filming in the Abu Dhabi desert for Star Wars: Episode VII, The National has provided an update in that filming will begin May 13th. It's reported security is on hand to turn back curious Star Wars fans, but according to a source the set is just about complete containing: a whole world having been built on an otherworldly salt lake at one location; a shuttle-like spacecraft; a large tower; a big, centuries-old-looking market that the crew are referring to as the “alien house”; 10 to 15 “really fast buggies” powered by jet engines; carts of explosives have been brought in under high security with a blast crater created; crew are also practicing driving vehicles for the movie out in the dunes.

It's also said that "Ancient Fear" might be the title.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a December 18, 2015 release.
