New Star Trek Movie Poster First Thought: Abrams Pulled A Bendis

Body

4445 Want to know what my first thought was regarding the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie poster?

"Abrams pulled a Bendis."

The Star Trek poster reveals the film's villain, Benedict Cumberbatch, seemingly walking out of a destroyed Enterprise viewing his handy work -- on Earth.

While over in the Marvel Comics universe, Brian Michael Bendis is taking DnA's science-fiction comic book, Guardians of the Galaxy, sticking Iron Man on the team, calling them the Cosmic Avengers, involving them with street-level villains, and anchoring them -- on Earth.

Some Star Trek fans are already in an uproar in that the poster is a direct take on Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.

It's quite obvious, too, and this isn't the first comparison we've heard made mentioned between the two.

Now I'm not saying Benedict Cumberbatch is Iron Man, but both Star Trek and the Guardians of the Galaxy appear to be boldly going where every man has gone before.

Tread lightly, guys!
