New details become known about the upcoming NBC Heroes Reborn series that is slated for 2015.

While it was recently learned Jack Coleman will return as Noah Bennett, both Ali Larter (Niki and Barbara Sanders) and Zachary Quinto (Sylar) have stated they won't be a part of it.

Heroes creator Tim Kring also shared with EW the following details:

NBC pitched Kring the idea of a new series.

Heroes Reborn will be similar to cable TV series with shorter and a set number of episodes (it's been stated 13 episodes).

Kring offered: "I also had new ideas on how to reboot the brand in away that gives people a whole fresh take on the series with a whole host of new characters but gives you that sense of you’re in that world of Heroes you’re familiar with."

Hereos Reborn will take place in a post-season 4 universe: "So it will tie into some of the ideas that were left dangling."

For the majority, Heroes Reborn will feature new characters and brand new ideas.

Kring can't go into too much detail because, presently, he is busy with another project, Dig.
