Negan Coming To The Walking Dead Eventually Says Kirkman
With The Governor finally gone from The Walking Dead TV series, fans are looking to the source material, the comic book, for new villains for the series.
While AMC has already announced that Gareth from the Season 4 finale will be the new bad guy, the name Negan has been making the rounds.
Negan first appeared in The Walking Dead #100 comic book, and for fans that don't read the comics we won't say anything more.
Regarding Negan appearing on The Walking Dead TV series, MTV recently spoke with Robert Kirkman about it mentioning that Jon Hamm would fit the role.
Kirkman jokes that Hamm isn't tall enough and says there are plans for Negan, eventually.
He's not tall enough! That's a joke. I think Jon Hamm would be perfect. I think after "Mad Men" has run, Jon Hamm is going to have a Tom Hanks level film career, so I don't think he'll be coming back to television anytime soon. Although that would be cool!
As far as Negan casting goes, Scott and I are always talking about who we would put in that, it's definitely on our minds, and there are definitely a lot of candidates. But I wouldn't expect Negan too terribly soon, although he is definitely in the plan. It's a 99% lock that he's going to be in the show eventually, so be on the lookout for that.
