Nathan Fillion Gets Cameo In Guardians of the Galaxy

Initially the fan-favorite choice to play Star-Lord, it looks as if Nathan Fillion has a cameo in the James Gunn-directed Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

At a recent Firefly panel in St. Louis, Fillion teased that he might be making an appearance.

“Wanting to get a part? Or maybe did,” Fillion responded when asked about wanting a role in Guardians of the Galaxy.

“Maybe there’ll be a surprise. Maybe check the credits of the movie when you watch it,” Fillion teased.

From Fillion's description, it's possible that he might be playing an alien in make-up as he says to check the credits (because we wouldn't recognize him on screen). Perhaps another possibility could be father to Star-Lord with Jason.

Nathan Fillion also starred in James Gunn's Slither and Super as well.

Chris Pratt landed the lead role of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" has an August 1, 2014 release in the U.S. starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana As Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Vin Disel as Groot, Lee Pace as Ronan, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Djimon Houndsou as Korath, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Benicio del Toro as The Collector, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey and Glenn Close as Nova Prime Rael.
