Metallo Rumored To Be Main Villain For Batman Vs. Superman: And No Lex Luthor?

With today's earlier announcement that Zack Snyder has cast Gal Gidot as Wonder Woman, a rumor surfaced that Callan Mulvey is being looked at as the villain for Batman Vs. Superman.

Now a new rumor suggests that Callan Mulvey may be actually playing Metallo in the film with it said the actor was also a contender for Lex Luthor.

ThinkMcFlyThink came up with the info and even speculated it could mean that Lex Luthor has been written out of Batman Vs. Superman.

12521 Of course it's also possible WB just got another actor for Lex Luthor and Callan Mulvey may be cast as Metallo.

Any chance Warner Bros. is really waiting on Bryan Cranston for Luthor? Or is this all more smoke and mirrors?

When I was told that Cranston had changed his mind about Lex Luthor, I was also told he decided to stop with the villain roles and signed on a two year deal or so for Broadway plays. Maybe Cranston will be back for Lex with the next flick? Maybe a more Superman oriented movie that most fans seem to wish was happening following Man of Steel. Or maybe even for Justice League.

"Batman Vs Superman" has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
