Maybe We'll Get An Anti-Hero Gambit Movie Hints Channing Tatum

While Channing Tatum isn't officially signed for the X-Men Gambit spinoff movie with Fox Studios (he's close), the actor comments that Gambit could change the super hero movie genre.

Fans already know that Gambit started out in a life of crime as a master thief, and he even sought out Mr. Sinister, who interestingly enough at one-time was a horseman of Apocalypse.

So maybe we'll see Gambit as more the "bad" guy and less as a "superhero."

Channing Tatum tells MTV:

We’ve talked about it being a standalone, first, and actually trying to change the ‘hero, superhero movie.’ Because Gambit is not your typical hero. He’s a thief. He walks on the gray. I’m hoping we can change it a little bit, and then ultimately feather into the other ones.

Would a villains movie work? Would it be a welcome change? Perhaps we'll find out sooner rather than later as Sony is launching a villain movie of their own with Sinister Six.
