Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Ratings Stagnant At 9pm Time Slot

Body

Bad news for ABC as the 9pm ET time slot and "two hour event" saw really no improvement in the ratings for Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The ratings are in for heavily hyped and promoted episode, "Providence," which saw 5.07 million people tune in with a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Bear in mind these are preliminary numbers with the final numbers to be released, which could go either up or down.

Last week's preliminary numbers showed 4.91 million people tuned in, but the final results were up at bit at 5.37 million. If we go by that, "Providence" might be up around the 5.4 million mark, which would put it around the second worst ratings of the series (prior to last week's episode).

ABC has yet to confirm a Season 2, and it just became known that the Agent Carter series might be getting a second thought to do the poor performance of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The creators on Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. have since told the fans to campaign to ABC for a second season.

The series has seen the ratings go from a high of over 12 million, with the season premiere, to a low of 5 million with last week's episode. If you are one of the 7 million that stopped watching, the past few episodes have been really good as they tie into Captain America 2.

Update: The final numbers have the 9pm episode with a 2.1 rating and 5.52 million tuning in.
