Marvel Studios VP of Production Tom Cohen on Guardians Of The Galaxy Movie and Nova


picThis interview must have slipped me by, but now seems very relevant, as it was just revealed that Marvel Studios has put a Guardians of the Galaxy movie in active development.

Marvel Studios VP of Production Tom Cohen commented on a Guardians of the Galaxy movie back on June 28th, 2011 with the Omelete at the 37th annual Saturn Awards. He also mentions Nova.

Cohen was asked if he would like a Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

"Personally, I am a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan," Cohen said.

When asked who is favorite was, gave an interesting answer.

"Probably Star-Lord because to me he is kind of like the Han Solo...," he said.

Interesting as Star-Lord is on the most recent version of the Guardians (original is from the future).

Cohen goes on to say he is a fan of Nova and the characters could be a possibility. 

"I always have been a big Nova fan," Cohen told the Omlette. "[There are] lots of characters that we talk about at Marvel as potential movies. Those are guys that definitely come up, the Guardians of The Galaxy. We are all fans."

This isn't the first time we have heard Nova connected with a movie, as back in 2009 an article from the AP gave the Human Rocket a mention.
