Marvel Studios Rumored To Have Booted Edgar Wright From Ant-Man

Earlier today saw news that Edgar Wright had departed the Ant-Man movie over creative differences with Marvel Studios.

The announcement has taken a lot of people by surprise as Edgar Wright has been attached to Ant-Man for the past 8 years and even put together a test reel.

Ant-Man has been seemingly delayed at least a couple of times with reasons cited Wright being busy with other projects.

Now a rumor regarding why exactly Edgar Wright left Ant-Man comes out of Reddit (via Marvel Movies fan Facebook).

Obviously it's not the greatest of sources, but the user claims to have spoke with people in production who stated Wright was having problems.

The word from people on the crew is Wright got booted for being REALLY behind schedule and being ineffective at righting the ship and getting it back on track. Production has been bleeding money for a month and Marvel got fed up with him and they lost their confidence in his ability to manage a production of this size.

Crew member at Pinewood in Fayetteville, ga. I was told there were issues about 3 weeks ago.

The earlier statement mentioned Ant-Man is still on track for a July 17, 2015 release.
