Marvel Studios Black Panther Movie In The Works



The Hollywood Reporter reports that a Black Panther Movie is back in development at Marvel Studios.

Mark Bailey has been hired as writer, with Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, as producer.

As HR notes, Bailey seems like an odd choice as he has previously worked on doucmentaries for HBO. However, they state, that good be a good sign as Black Panther requires a sense of dark and gritty realism.

In the comics, Black Panther has currently taken over the Daredevil book, patrolling the streets of Hell's Kitchen in the Man Without Fear's abscense. The Black Panther is also the ruler of the African nation, Wakanda (Marvel Universe), where the precious alloy "vibranium" can be found. The fictioinal metal was used to construct Captain America's shield.
