Marvel Now! Updates (Official): Uncanny Avengers by Remender; Hickman on Avengers, Bendis on X-Men
We've been updating about the Marvel Relaunch titles Marvel NOW!, and now we have some official info to go with it.
Entertainment Weekly released some more information including a better look at that Quesada image.
Marvel NOW! begins in October, with EW releasing the following:
”¢ Uncanny Avengers by Rick Remender and John Cassaday sees the Avengers and X-Men team up. Cap, Thor, Wolverine and also Havok are mentioned with the first villain to be the Red Skull; starts in October.
”¢ Jonathan Hickman moves off of Fantastic Four and on to Avengers. Jerome Opena will be on as artist and the cast of Assemblers looks to be a large one as Hickman teases, "It’s not six Avengers, it’s 18 or more." EW also makes a point of saying Hickman likes the cosmic Avengers stories; starts in December, will be twice per month.
”¢ Bendis on All-New X-Men title. It's a time travel that see the original X-Men time travel to the present. Bendis hints at what's to come: " Here’s the big question that the original X-Men are gonna be faced with: We’re gonna grow up, and this is what we’re going to get? That is not acceptable." Stuart Immonen is on as artist; begins in November.
And here is the Quesada image, which he says is the "tip of the iceberg."
EW also says that Quesada promises big things for Rocket Raccoon and EW says, "...don’t be surprised if Rocket Raccoon is headlining his own billion-dollar franchise soon.."
